On May 22, a video conference with the partners from the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in the conference hall of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed preparations for the XXXII Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Erkebulan Sapiev and the representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan took part in the meeting on the side of the neighbouring Central Asian country.
Minister Dayanch Gulgeldyev headed the Turkmen group of participants in the online meeting. The members of the National Olympic Committee and the employees of the Ministry took part in discussions.
The key issues of the online meeting agenda focused on the Tokyo Olympics included the organisation of working experience exchange meetings. The interlocutors scheduled regular meetings between the sport ministries of the two countries to fulfil the tasks of assisting each other in preparations for the main multi-sport event of the planet.
The meeting participants noted that cooperation between the two countries in the sports sector made a worthy contribution to enhancing cooperation and maintaining traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
